Staying on top of your search engine optimization is quite probably the best thing you can be doing for your company’s future. The best way to evolve your SEO marketing so that it becomes a lean, mean conversion machine is to make certain that your website is easy to find and easy to use.

  • If there is one thing about SEO that never changes, it is change. The self proclaimed search god, Google, is constantly tinkering and trying to fix things that are not broken. This means you must pay attention to what Google does so that you will be able to pivot in a profitable way. This means staying on top of your changes and paying close attention to your metrics.
  • Ensure that your site is built for easy navigation so that the spiders and bots can find you quickly and easily. If your structure is sloppy, the crawlers could easily miss you. If you make things difficult for your visitors to find the information they need in order to make a purchase, then you just might as well close everything down. If a middle school student can’t find their way around and buy something, then tear it all down and start again.
  • Don’t ignore the creation of internal as well as backlinks. Your backlinks will show the search engines that yours is a reputable site and your company can be trusted. It is a slow process sometimes getting those backlinks but they are worth it in the end. When building your site and executing your SEO, you must always be mobile first. That is where nearly half of all searches are currently coming from and phone search will soon dominate. Google indexes mobile first so you must be prepared. Finally, speed is everything. Anything at your site that is slowing down your loading time must be removed. As long as you have a plan, and you work that plan, your SEO marketing, as well as your site, will remain lean and mean for many years to come.
